How to build your own website from beginning to end

How do I setup my own website? I have heard that question more times then I
can count and all I keep telling people is why try to build your own website
when you can get one fully installed on the domain name of your choice from my

but sometimes people like to test themselves to see if they can do it or not so
I have wrote this article to try to help you out. I have only used one hosting
which is Linux I myself have never used a window server so when you read this
post its all about Linux and nothing about windows.

Please do not get this confused with your computers windows because I run
windows XP on my computer desktop and all of my websites are on a Linux hosting
so it doesn't really matter what your desktop runs.

1. Now the first thing to do is buy a
domain
name.

2. Setup a Linux/ cpanel

3. Go back to where you registered the domain name and use the name servers (
hosting company will send them to you) that your host sent and when you are
logged into the place you bought the domain name click on DNS, or name servers
or something to that nature and add the name servers they sent you. Usually name
servers are something like ns1.somedomainname.com & ns2.somedomainname.com

4. Login to your hosting control panel and usually there is over 50 different
websites in the hosting control panel that you can install for free of charge.
Most of them can also be edited from either the admin section of each site or
through cpanel's editor.

You can do all of the above by yourself within 48 hours with the most time
just waiting. After you change the name servers on a domain name usually its
done within a few hours but it can take up to 48 hours for a domain name to
fully set.
